A French walnut and needlework upholstered settee, 18th century and later elements, the triple arched back, shaped sides and seat covered in needlework depicting reserves of floral sprays, within a stylised strapwork field interspersed with flowerheads, the scroll carved arm terminals above conforming moulded legs with scroll carved feet joined by H-shaped stretchers, 120cm high, 225cm wide, approximately 95cm deep overall

Condition Report:
Back is 120cms high. Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits, some losses. Some old repairs. Some old worm damage, There are various old repairs and some areas of loss to the needlework. There is additional wear to the seat area. The largest area of loss to the needlework appears to be toward the left side of the front edge of the seat. The visible seat rails from the underside appear to be 20th century in date. Old repairs to the feet- one of which (back right) has deteriorated and currently detached showing old pegging, worm and repairs. Will require further restoration. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. The needlework elements are not modern, the needlework incorporates 19th and 20th century work. The velvet type material of the side panels and back are 20th century in date/modern.
