A GEORGE II WALNUT AND BEECH OPEN ARMCHAIRCIRCA 1735103cm high, 73cm wide, 53cm deep overallCondition Report: There are some marks, scratches, knocks and abrasions consistent with age and use. There are some cracks to the walnut veneers and some replaced veneers. The seat rail/base of arm joints with additional later dowel fixings.The seat rail is marked 'XIIII'. There is evidence of old worm.The upholstery is of age and is worn threadbare in some places, there are some holes with later stitching. The woolwork has been extended in size to the sides, suggesting that it was originally on an 18th century chair with a smaller seat.Please note we have not inspected the frame beneath the upholstery and can't comment on the condition and originality of this area.All that said these comments on condition are only apparent on close up inspection.Please refer to the additional images for a visual reference of condition.
