A GEORGE II WALNUT SIDE CHAIRPOSSIBLY IRISH, CIRCA 174594cm high, 64cm wide, 57cm deep overallCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. Evidence of old worm to chair throughout with some dark wax/filler used to disguise wormholes in areas. Later supporting corner blocks to the underside of the seat. Later dowel repairs made in areas above both front legs. Chair is structurally solid overall. Some old nail repairs to the 'shoe' at the base of the splat. Some later screws and nails securing the 'ears' of the legs. One rear foot is a replacement the has been neatly spliced into the leg. Seat cushion with some minor wear and discolourations.
