A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND CROSSBANDED BOWFRONT SIDEBOARDIN THE MANNER OF GILLOWS, CIRCA 180091cm high, 168cm wide, 75cm deep Provenance: Purchased Woolley & Wallis, Salisbury, 1995 (£7,200). Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old splits and chips. Some deposits to the top that could be easily polished out. Some fading to timber in areas. Some old veneer repairs - see images. Metalware appears original. A key is present and operates all locks. It appears that stains and polishes have been used to provide colour to the top. Some later blocks and drawer runners to the interior of the carcass.
