A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND INLAID SERPENTINE KNIFE BOX LATE 18TH CENTURY 38cm high Together with another George III mahogany and inlaid serpentine knife box, with armorial crest, 35cm high Provenance: Private Collection, Berkshire Condition Report: Each box has had its interior altered to accommodate stationary, the interiors with dirt and discolouration Each box with marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, old chips and losses, splits and cracks, repairs and replacements to veneers and inlays, some larger sections to front and side of the larger exampleNo keys to either, locks appear to have been removed - both boxes are open at time of report Lids don't sit smoothly on the bases, probably had some damage to the hinges Please see additional images for visual reference to condition and appearance Condition Report Disclaimer
