A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND UPHOLSTERED WING ARMCHAIR CIRCA 1770 Raised on brass castors 112cm high, 92cm wide, 72cm deep Condition Report: Overall there are some scratches, knocks, cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use.There are some losses, restorations and observations including:Some fading to the olive green velvet upholstery.There is some small movement to the wings, arms and front legs.There is some evidence of old worm including to the seat rails which look as though they have been replaced.Dark staining and some later wood including backing supports for example to the ears on the legs.The frame under the upholstery has not been inspected.The carving of a claw to the inside of the front legs is a pleasing detail of design and quality.Please see the additional condition report photographs as a visual reference of condition.
