The scallop-shaped back centred with the relief-carved arms of Anne Basset, née Prideaux (1718-1760), the outsplayed arm rests terminating in a rosette, the conforming seat on incised shaped legs and pad feet joined by an X-stretcher, with batten-carrying holes
