A GEORGE III MAHOGANY WRITING TABLE CIRCA 1780 The fluted frieze incorporating a frieze drawer, and a further frieze drawer to the right hand side panel 75cm high, 82.5cm wide, 51cm deep Provenance: By family descent from Goldsborough Hall, Knaresborough, YorkshireGoldsborough Hall, Knaresborough in the 20th century was home to HRH Princess Mary, Countess of Harewood. Circa 1760 Godlsborough was remodelled by John Carr and Robert Adam. It is probable that Robert Adam was responsible for supplying items of furniture during that time of refurbishment. Condition Report: Overall there are some scratches, marks, chips, cracks and abrasions consistent with age and use.Some small restorations, the handles and blocks to the back of the legs are later.The oak lined drawers with divisions.Please see all the additional condition report photographs through the link on the condition report email as a visual reference of condition.
