Oval with reeded rim and similar leaf-capped handles, on four panel feet, the centre finely bright-cut engraved with a band of scrolling flowers alternating with rosettes, the centre engraved with a coat-of-arms within bright-cut floral sprays and swags, the base engraved with contemporary Latin inscription, marked on reverse

The arms are those of Wyatt quartering Edgell with Pocock in pretence for Edgell Wyatt (later Wyatt-Edgell) (1767-1853) of Milton House, Egham and his wife Elizabeth (d.1826), daughter and heiress of William Pocock of Chieveley, co. Berkshire, whom he married in 1794.

The inscription reads 'Dono Dedit Hannah Pocock (Soror Gulielmi Pocock Armigeri) Elizabethæ & Edgell Wyatt ANNO 1794: quod pro hoc aliisque beneficiis Grati acceperunt.' This translates as 'Hannah Pocock (sister of William Pocock Esquire) gave this to Elizabeth and Edgell Wyatt, 1794, and they received it with gratitude for this and other favours.'

A gift from Hannah Pocock (d.1799) to her niece Elizabeth Pocock (d.1826) who married Edgell Wyatt (1767-1853), on the 7 April 1794.
