A GEORGE IV GILTWOOD AND ROSEWOOD CONSOLE TABLE, CIRCA 1820, ATTRIBUTED TO GILLOWS

with a Siena marble top, now in two sections, the back fitted with a mirror
93cm. high, 199cm. wide, 64cm. deep; 3ft. ½in., 6ft. 6½in., 2ft. 1in.

Condition Report:
Impressive and nice quality. The marble broken in two sections (see catalogue image)and with fragmenting at this site. The piece overall is stable. The mirror is tarnished with typical spotting. There are some old marks and scratches to the rosewood and the gilding. There is evidence of old worm to the supporting structure. The marble is cut at the back in a rectangular shape, most probably to take a mirror.
