A GEORGE IV MAHOGANY AND LEATHER EFFECT UPHOLSTERED LIBRARY ARMCHAIR CIRCA 1830 With a brass holder to one side 83cm high, 64cm wide, 60cm deep Condition Report: As per the catalogue images the bottom has fallen through the old webbing and the springs are not supported, horsehair wadding is visible - overall will need some attention before use in a domestic setting - the leather effect covering has losses to the surface and cracking but overall appears largelly intact - the seat with notable dip/sag due to lack of support as aboveOld marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions, splits and cracks, chips and losses to the timber frame - one arm with clear crack, one metal bracket for a reading arm to one side, both arms with screw holes where a bracketed reading rest has been fitted previously Overall a repair and restoration piecePlease see additional images for visual reference to condition and appearance Condition Report Disclaimer
