A GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE, E-BOAT BADGE, FIRST TYPE
The Kriegsmarine badge (Schnellboot Kriegsabzeichen) is constructed of gilt and silvered bronze, the obverse is of an oval laurel wreath, with a national eagle perched on the top of the badge clutching a mobile swastika, with a side-view of an E-Boat cutting through a wave, with the bow of the ship extending over the wreath; plain reverse, with a horizontal banjo-style pinback and maker's mark R.S, the Vienna-based medal and order maker Rudolf Souval who made the insignias and decorations for Nazi Germany during the War.
