A GERMAN PRINTED BOOK WITH DANISH SILVER MOUNTS , THE MOUNTS, HANS PEDERSEN KOCH, VARDE, CIRCA 1740

cover and spine, fitted with silver mounts of dancing cherubs enclosed by flowers, dog-teeth borders and acanthus, two cast openwork clasps with flowering climbing plants in assymetric scrolls, reverses initialled UGS AGS and dated 1780, containing a Gesange-Buch, published by Herman Brauer, Bremen, 1699, external parts of the pages moulded to form flowers in vases, with worn red velvet cover
13cm., 5 1/8in. diameter

Condition Report:
The mounts are in good condition and engraving is still crisp, red velvet of book very worn with the book covers a bit loose from the pages section.
