The deep circular bowl supported on sculptural winged beast supports, chased and engraved with scrolling grapes and grapevine on a tooled ground, the shoulders with band of scallop shells below the notched rim applied with coat-of arms, a crests and trophies of agriculture and maritime commerce, the high domed cover with lobes spaced by panels of crashing waves, the large finial formed as a knight in armor beneath an oak tree, gilt interior, marked on underside
