A GHURID REPOUSSÉ PARCEL-GILT AND NIELLO SILVER PANEL

The rectangular silver panel worked in gilt low relief with a lower design of confronted griffins flanking arabesque trefoils issuing split palmettes forming a cusped arcade above, these upper arcades alternating with enthroned nimbate human figures, the ground with scrolling vines reserved against niello, signed lower right, areas of restoration
8 ¾ x 16 ¾in. (22.3 x 43cm.)
