A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF ELEVEN-HEADED AVALOKITESHVARA
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
清十八世紀 鎏金銅十一面觀音立像

cast with eight arms and eleven heads arranged in four tiers and surmounted by Amitabha, standing on a double-lotus base, the principle hands held in anjali mudra, the others fanned out and holding respective attributes, adorned with beaded jewellery and clad in a long scarf with ends flowing down to the feet and a dhoti detailed with incised floral borders
Height 33 cm, 13 in.

Condition Report:
Heavily cast, there are some general losses and wear to the surface and gilding, and nicks to the edges. Some attributes are missing. The figure is secured with two later added screws to the base.
