circular, the lid and base set with glazed miniatures depicting classical remains and a river landscape, stamped mounts decorated with floral foliage, indistinctly marked; together with two apparently unmarked gilt-metal mounted tortoiseshell snuff boxes, one with figures near a cascade, attributed to Alexandre Jean Noël; the other with a Roman architectural capriccio, French School, bearing initials and date LGB 1770
7.5cm., 3 in. wide; 9cm., 3½in. wide; 8cm., 3⅛in. wide

Condition Report:
First in good condition, gilt metal rubbed
Second miniature of columns in good condition, gilt metal mounts detached, a little torn in places
Third (tree), miniatures top and bottom good, bottom mount detached
