FIVE DYNASTIES PERIOD, 10TH CENTURY
Of tapered ovoid form surmounted by a cylindrical neck with slightly flaring wide mouth, the ewer is applied with a short spout set opposite a strap handle, which is impressed with a row of small ring motifs overlaid with an attachment strap at its base. The ewer is covered with a glossy transparent glaze that pools to a pale bluish tone around the handle.
