The rounded rectangular kinji body decorated in sumi-e togidashi maki-e after an ink painting in the style of Kano Tsunenobu (1636-1713) depicting a solitary oarsman poling a boat on one side and descending geese on the other, the interior cases of rich nashiji, inscribed Tsunenobu hitsu with a red seal Yoboku; with a tubular bronze and shibuichi ojime pierced with a woven plaited design, unsigned. 8cm x 6cm (3 1/8in x 2 3/8in).
