A GOOD CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE CALLIGRAPHIC BRUSH POT, BITONG

KANGXI 1662-1722

The elegantly waisted cylindrical body painted with a river landscape scene of a fisherman beside his sampan, with a hut and trees, all beneath the moon and constellations, the reverse with the long Song Dynasty poem, 'Ode to the Autumn Sound', by Ouyang Xiu, with two seal marks, the base partially glazed and with a recessed central boss, 19.2cm dia. and 15.5cm high.
