The mythical beast is carved in a crouching position with an earcup protrudung from its mouth. It has bulging eyes and horns that extend back to flank the aperture to its back. Its mane, horns and haunches are skillfully worked in relief and finely detaiiled. The stone is of a greenish-white colour with pale russet inclusions.
