A GROUP OF SIX LIONEL AND MARX PASSENGER AND FREIGHT CARS, SECOND-QUARTER 20TH CENTURY, comprising a vintage #252 green painted Electric Locomotive; two vintage #529 green and brown painted Pullman Passenger Cars with shades; a vintage #530 green and brown painted Observation Passenger Car with shades; a vintage Marx black painted Commodore Vanderbilt New York Central Lines Locomotive; a vintage #211 black painted with nickel plating flatbed Freight Car. Provenance: Estate of Ross Gibson Wandrey, Houston, Texas
Condition Report: The four green painted cars appear in good used vintage condition with normal small scratches, oxidized areas, dings, some patches of paint loss, loose parts, dings, and surface dust/grime buildup. Their paint appears to be original with some having a few touchups and the shades are there but are falling a bit and need reattaching. #211 has some normal wear with scratches, dings, oxidized patches, scrapes, and surface dust/grime buildup throughout. The Marx Locomotive has some marks, scratches, dings, scrapes, oxidized spots, paint and other losses, touchups, surface dust/grime buildup, and lacking front light.
