Bache, Superintendent, with Lieut B.F. Sands, U.S. Navy & Asst. U.S. Coast Survey, showing South West Pass, Garden Island Bay, Delta of the Mississippi, Passe À Loutre, Blind Bay, including sailing directions, and U.S. Coast Survey Office seal, 14 3/4" x 22"; and two Harper's Weekly publication pages, May 10, 1862, "The Approaches to New Orleans by Lake Pontchartrain and Lake Borgne," page 294, sketched by A. Richardson, including views of Fort Pike, La., Pearl River Light, and Man of War Bay; and, "The Mississippi River from its Mouth to Cairo, Showing New Orleans, Memphis, Fort Wright, Island Number Ten, Columbus, Etc.," page 295, showing riverways and emerging railroad systems in strip map form, 15 1/4" x 10 1/2".
