A George I walnut and feather banded chest of drawers, circa 1720, the rectangular quarter veneered top, above two short and three long graduated drawers, on bracket feet, 101cm high, 95cm wide, 50cm deep

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. Additional splits to the solid walnut side panels. Old repairs. Handles are replacements but are 18th century. Fillet of replacement timber added to the centre of the top. Various sections of replacement timber and veneers (see images for extent). Evidence of old worm throughout with filler used to disguise in places. Drawer runners later replaced. Oak bracket feet are later replacements. There is no evidence of old holes from bun feet. Backboards later replaced. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
