A George I walnut chest of drawers, circa 1725, the rectangular top with moulded edge and rounded front corners, above two short and three long graduated drawers, flanked by canted angles, on bracket feet, 90cm high, 84cm wide, 47cm deep
Condition Report:
Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use. old chips and splits. one section of veneer lost from front of right foot. Locks and handles appear original. The fixture of some handle bolts have been re-approached in some places it appears as some positions to reverse of drawer fronts are dug out (see images). some fading, more significantly to the top. some additional dark/ ink stains to the top. Some old vertical fractured cracks to the side panels. All other elements appear original including feet, rear panels, drawer linings.
