A George II carved walnut armchair, circa 1750, probably Irish, the shaped top rail carved with floral foliage and scrolls, above the pierced and interlaced vase shaped splat, the padded and needlework upholstered seat above acanthus carved tapering cabriole legs, terminating in claw on ball feet, 104cm high, 64cm wide, 59cm deep

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old glued repairs. Old chips and splits. Some evidence of old worm. One front foot with a section of replacement carved timber and screw used to help secure. One rear foot with section of loss. Later upholstered drop in seat with wear and some pulls. Later blocks to inside of seat rails. Glue residue visible to some joints, others opening slightly. Chair is of solid structure overall.
