A George II provincial sterling silver bachelor coffee pot, Newcastle 1756 by William Partis Of baluster form upon a circular foot with reeded edge, the shell capped curved spout with a moulded junction with a shell drop opposite a wooden C scroll handle pinned to scroll sockets with an upper shell junction. The hinged double domed lid surmounted with a pyriform finial. The body with embossed decoration of flower heads and rocaille scrolls, the lid with similar embossing. Fully marked to the side, the lid unmarked. Height – 21 cm / 8.25 inches Weight – 518 grams / 16.65 ozt
