Of shaped oval form, marked on rim, the sides with beaded whorl-divided lattice-pierced sections in three diaper patterns, the center engraved with unknown arms on a field of ermine, the dexter chief quadrant sable a lion rampant, the underside engraved 'Martha Deere Ob. 17 May 1794 Al. 73' and with scratched inventory number '2513' and the weight 'oz./26 dwt/13'.
Edward Aldrige II is known to have been working in silver with an unregistered hallmark, and his mark E*A is also recorded in 1760.
