Condition Report:
Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use Some old chips and splits. some small losses. some old repairs including a carved and spliced mall section to one rear leg No obvious stains or condition issues in regard to the upholstery except some minor surface fraying. One of the central front legs has a large area of filler toward the upper joint. (see image) The joint of one other leg is loose. The joins of the legs to the frame may need further attention in order to solidify them. The central leg at the rear of the sofa is now detached and the joining dowels snapped. It is 20th century and crudely made in square section format. The seat rails may not be as old as late 19th century (see images) The legs appear to have greater age than 19th century but may have not have originally been made for the current frame. There is evidence to the upper elements of the legs from the underside from various screw holes, that various methods of securing the legs to this frame or another have previously been used over time. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition. Floor to seat height - approx. 49cm (including seat cushion)
