A George II walnut chest on chest, circa 1735, the moulded cornice above two short and three long graduated drawers, the lower section with three further long graduated drawers, on shaped bracket feet, 191cm high, 105cm wide, 51cm deep

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old chips and splits. Some losses. Some old repairs. Re-polished and later varnished overall. Some dark/ black varnish has been applied around the metalware. Handles and escutcheons appear original, some of the nuts securing the handle fixtures are associated. All drawer linings and rear panels are original. Some later glued down fabric has been used to join between rear panels. Some of the locks are associated but of 18th century period. Lacking keys. The feet appear original. There are later supporting blocks beneath/ to the reverse. One drawer to the upper section has a section of the lower corner of the drawer front lacking (just over 1cm square. Please refer to additional images for visual reference to condition.
