A George II walnut dressing mirror
A George II walnut dressing mirror, circa 1735, the shaped mirror plate within a gilt gesso and moulded border, flanked by square section supports, above the platform with three frieze drawers, on ogee bracket feet, 69cm high, 46cm wide, 24cm deep
Looking glass plate likely a replacement but looks the part. Generally in restored condition, note the two sections of replacement veneer to the top surface before each of the uprights. The butterfly screw adjusters for the plate angle are not original and the central drawer has a replacement lock. Some small new wood drawer stops to the carcass and small section of wood missing to the plate backing.
