Property from the Collection of Dr. K. William Harter, Alexandria, Virginia European Furniture & Decorative Arts Overall sturdy and useable condition. On closer inspection, it is probably a 19th century desk with some alteration, not 18th century. The paper stop, easel stand, and hinges are replacements. There is a veneer patch and some scratches and discolorations on the top with an overall dark reddish mahogany color throughout. Drawer liner likely rebuilt in the later 20th century. Scratches and surface marks throughout. Additional images available upon request.
