The dial signed 'Thomas Waystaffe, London.'

Provenance

Property from a private American collection.
Condition Report: includes two weights, pendulum, case key, and winding key; case with nice painted surface, with scattered retouching commensurate with age- green fluorescence throughout under UV light, evidence of retouching and later varnish; case bottom with no bottom board, later wood segment added to upper back left side of case- older repair; some signs of old splitting to painted surface on case door, the reverse of case door with later wood braces screwed for stabilizing the slight warp; hood likely with replaced glass panes, the center of cornice possibly repaired/restored; brass face in great condition, with the enamel paint to moon dial intact; has three brass finials; case door interior with old faint chalk inscription, "...Wagstaffe"; as with all mechanical objects, Freeman's does not guarantee functionality
