A George III Opaque Glass Scent-Bottle, South Staffordshire, Circa 1770, pear-shaped and with vari-colour enameled foliage and flower decoration, the front enameled 'Eliz Reed' in black enamel, the back heightened with an insect above a spray of flowers, 7cm high Other examples of this form are known, for example one enameled 'J. Coates' which is now in the collection of the Corning Museum of Glass (accession number 86.2.22).
Condition Report:
. There is some wear to the enamel decoration. This is particularly noticed around the 'L' of 'Eliz' which is rather worn and with some abrasions to the surface underneath.
