A George III Scottish silver soup ladle, in plain Old English pattern with initialled terminal. Hallmarked Edinburgh 1795 with maker's mark P & L. Length 14 (35.5cm), weight 5.28 ozt (164.3 grams). Dimensions: Condition Report: Displaying some heavy tarnishing marks to the whole. With general expected surface wear, marks and scratches commensurate with the age and use. Heavier wear to the bowl with surface nicks and some minor dints/bumps. The metal of the rim appears slightly thinner in some areas. Hallmarks located to reverse of terminal, some rubbing but still clearly legible.
