A George III Silver Goblet by Rebecca Emes and Edward Barnard, London, 1811

the body cylindrical and on spreading foot, with lobed lower body, engraved on one side with a coat-of-arms and on the other with an inscription, each below a band of chased foliage scrolls on a matted ground, the foot engraved with a further inscription, the interior gilt 15cm high, 11oz 14dwt, 364gr The inscription on the body reads 'MDCCCXIII Joan Sudbury nuper Dec Dun: David Cockerton A. B. Coll. Emman' and the inscription on the foot reads 'Aien Apicteyein'.

Fully marked on foot. There is some wear to the marks but each is generally legible. There is some overall surface scratching and wear, as well as some bruising, consistent with age and use. Rocks slightly when placed on a level surface. We are happy to provide Condition Reports to prospective buyers, but would welcome your request as soon as possible, preferably at least 48 hours before the Day of Sale. We cannot guarantee a reply to any requests made within 48 hours of the start of the auction. The absence of a Condition Report from a lot does not mean that the lot is in perfect condition.
