in the style of French gold box, of rectangular form with canted corners, the lid and base with engraved decoration of peacock eye lattice work, the sides with engraved panels of rosettes and floral sprays. The lid raised by a concealed hinge. Fully marked to the base interior and maker's mark and lion passant only to lid interior.
