A George III cream painted wall mirror, circa 1760, the shaped rectangular twin plate within a scrolling foliate carved border, surmounted overall by a carved shell motif, 113cm high, 79cm wide

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Some old chips, splits and small losses. Mirror plates appear to be original and have the expected depletion/bloom and grey spots. Painted surface has significant age but we cannot guarantee it is original. It has some rubbing, flaking, and darker deposits in the folds of the carving. Old glued repair to one scroll element near top left of frame. Backboards are original. There are some old screw holes to the reverse from where previous fixtures sat.
