A George III flat cut foil backed garnet pansy necklace, c.1800,
with a series of graduated pear cut garnet, pansy cluster flower heads. All joined by small jump rings between single and double foil backed oval flat cut garnets, to concealed cushion shaped garnet clasp. All in dome back settings, with a later safety chain. Tested as approximately 9ct gold. 415mm long, central flower head 19.70 x 19.10mm, 37.56g.
