A George III mahogany and tulipwood banded oval Pembroke table, circa 1780, the top incorporating a pair of hinged leaves, above a frieze drawer and an opposing false drawer, on square section fluted tapering legs terminating in brass caps and castors, 72cm high, the top 79.5 x 104cm (open)Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old chips and splits. Section of replacement veneer (approx. 2x1 inches). Section of crossbanding to top lacking (approx. 1x1.5 inches).Repaired split to one hinged leaf with filler used to help disguise. Split to top with small section of replacement veneer and filler used to disguise. No key present, lock open. Escutcheon to drawer lacking. Tape applied to splits in the underside of the drawer.
