A George III mahogany and upholstered corner armchair, circa 1760, the scrolled arms above the pierced splats, fully upholstered seat, and square section legs, 77cm high Provenance: Berwick House, ShropshireCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions, consistent with age and use,Some chips and losses, old splits and some open cracks, an inset section of timber to the rear and signs of filler and plugging to some areasThe seat is solid with timber to the underside, this is probably later re-enforcement, the upholstery is later, the supporting blocks appear to be 19th centurySome screwed repairs to the undersides of the cross-stretchersCondition Report Disclaimer
