A George III mahogany bracket clock with brass twin fusee movement striking quarters and hours on two bells, the anchor escapement with above bob pendulum adjustment, the backplate with engraved border, the 8-inch painted breakarch dial with strike/silent indicator to arch above Roman hour numerals and signed 'J. Lowman Ramsgate', the case with moulded arch pediment and brass carrying handle above glazed doors and sides, on a rectangular base and brass bracket feet, height 45.5cm, with pendulum (minor faults). Note: Jeremiah Lowman is a recorded clockmaker working in Ramsgate from circa 1810 to 1832.
