A George III mahogany bracket clock with eight day twin fusee movement striking hours on a bell, the painted circular dial with black Roman hour numerals and inscribed 'Yonge Strand London', the case with moulded arch pediment, triple pad top and brass carrying handle, above pierced brass fret panels to front and sides, on a moulded plinth base and brass bracket feet, height 42cm, with pendulum and winding key. Note: George Yonge is a recorded London clockmaker working at the Strand between 1776 and 1832.
