A George III mahogany bureau bookcase, circa 1800, the glazed section with moulded beadings above the bureau base with fall enclosing a fitted interior with drawers and pigeonholes above a baize writing surface, and with an arrangement of drawers, 214cm high, 108cm wide, 62cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and useOld splits and cracks, some chips and losses to veneers, the front right corner of the fall with old losses to the veneers.The handles are replacements throughout, there are diamond shaped inset timber plugs to the drawer fronts that stick out and are noticeable - these could be better disguised There are keys present operating the cabinet and the fall, and the top drawer, the other drawers are unlocked but there is no key to operate.The internal baize is recently appliedThe top section will require screwing to the base to secure on installation, there are no screws at Dreweatts the items have been balanced whilst at Dreweatts and are stable enough but will need securing in a domestic setting.With colour variation overallPlease refer to additional images for visual reference to condition Condition Report Disclaimer
