A George III mahogany chest of drawers, circa 1780, with three long graduated drawers flanked by canted and line inlaid angles and on conforming square tapering legs and spade feet, 89cm high, 109cm wide, 60cm deep

Provenance:
Oakley House, the Collection of Eustace Gibbs, 3rd Baron Wraxall, KCVO, CMG

Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, cleaned and repolished, chips, losses and some replacements to veneers, the handles appear to be replacements, one rear leg detached but present with the lot, signs of old glue and previous repairs, the section of moulding to one side also lacking.

Upper right hand corner has a shrinkage crack visible to the top and with signs of carcass movement beneath both top corners.

The approximate measurements are as stated in the description:

89cm high, 109cm wide, 60cm deep

the depth in the middle (bow front) is approximately 60cm - the depth along the side is approximately 54cm
