A George III mahogany sideboard

A George III mahogany sideboard, circa 1780, of semi elliptical outline, the central drawer flanked by deep drawers fronted by twin false drawer fronts, and further flanked by cupboard doors, 94cm high, 183cm wide, 65cm deepCondition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, The top with marks and some areas of staining, also one corner has some scratches and a gouge to the edge, Also some splits and cracks through the top toward the edges in some instances through both the veneers and the timber, there are some areas of splitting and cracking around the 'knee hole' at the front. The top with some bowing and warping,The handles are replacements, there are plugged holes to the interiors of the drawer frontsOne cellarette drawer has been previously lined, this is absent but the wood is inlet where these has been, there is a plugholes to the base, the locks are old but there are areas of filler and composition surrounding them, they are very likely good replacementsThe colour is quite light to the front, it is darker toward the back of the top, Condition Report Disclaimer
