A George III pierced brass fender

A George III pierced brass fender, late 18th/early 19th century, of bowfront outline, with urns interspersed by swags, 20cm high, 125cm wide Condition Report: Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use, The surface polished overall but with some discolouration, also some areas where it has been polished the definition of the surface decoration is slightly lacking and worn. There is polish deposits especially to the rear This has been constructed in sections and joined, some of these seams are apparent, however all appear secure. There is an iron bar to the rear that adds weight and secures the fender in the upright position - this appears to be pulling away slightly to one end and the securing screws may well benefit from a tighten.
