A George III silver cream jug & a helmet shape jug. (2).

A George III silver cream jug, of bellied form, raised upon a single foot, with a band of foliate engraved decoration to the body, and a central engraved crest and motto, with loop handle, hallmarked London 1808, height 3.5" (9cm). Together with another cream jug, of helmet shape, with stippled borders and an initial engraved cartouche to front, raised on a square pedestal foot, lion passant and Duty mark visible, height including handle 5.5" (14cm). Total weight 6.2 ozt (192.6 grams). (2).

Condition Report:
- George III cream jug generally in good condition, displaying surface wear, marks, scratches and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
- Interior more heavily tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish.
- Hallmarks worn but legible, while maker's mark completely illegible.
- Helmet shape jug has split to rim where handle meets, with possible previous repairs.
- Some heavier areas of marks and scratches to body of jug.
- Areas of tarnishing that would benefit from a clean and polish.
- Hallmarks and maker's marks heavily rubbed and worn. Only monarch's head and lion passant mark legible.
