A George III silver ovoid pedestal sugar caster by Pierre Gillois, London 1771, of classical design, with an acorn finial to the fluted and dot pierced domed cover, the body with raised drapery swags dependant from tied ribbons with tassels, engraved with a vacant shield, the base with raised stiff leaves, in a fluted conical stem with a foliate border and a square base, 19cm (7 1/2in) high, 326g (10.5 oz)
