A George IV mahogany secretaire chest, circa 1825, 133cm high, 93.5cm wide, 53cm deep
Condition Report:
Marks, knocks, scratches, abrasions consistent with age and use
One rear leg with old breaks and splits, this will require some level of restoration before use in a domestic setting,
The secretaire drawer is not opening freely or sliding from the carcass, this will benefit from some lubrication (such as candle wax) but Dreweatts cannot guarantee if more attention will be required.
The handles have all been replaced, there are some old marks and holes where the previous ones have been
Old splits and cracks, chips and losses
There are no keys for the drawers, one small key is present to the internal cupboard.
